Netbook Reflection

A netbook helps me in my learning by making it easier

to find facts and information on sites like Wikipedia and encyclopedia

plus I can go on my class site and find activities that could help me

with subjects like Reading,Maths and Writing and stuff like that.

A netbook helps me communicate with my teacher like when she sends work

to me or when I share my work with her so she can check my work and make

sure I am focusing and on the right track. Also sometimes the whole class including

the teacher brainstorm together online.

Online I have learnt stuff about transportation,history, simple mechanism,Christmas

Nelson Mandela we learnt about heat and lots of other things and stuff about other

people.

I learnt how to upload an image,how to connect to the internet and simple things

that I use to have problems with.

I haven’t really helped anyone this year but I have helped some people that didn't know how to

do simple things that I have been told from other friends.

Digital learning has helped me by making things easier to communicate with other people

and find facts and information that I can put on my blog.

 

How To Make A Burger

Purpose: How to make a Burger

Materials:

Bread bun

Meat patty

Lettuce

Tomato

Cheese

Tomato Sauce

Mustard

Oil

Frying Pan

Steps:

1. First wash your hands thoroughly

2.Turn element on with frying pan on top and oil and patty cooking inside

3.Wait for you meat patty to be brown and moist

4.Once your meat patty is done put it on your bun

5.Next put some lettuce on top with tomato and cheese also tomato sauce or mustard if you want

Less Than One Second is a article about 2 kids that compete in a slot drag car race against each other and make the car and paint it and stuff plus 2 kids that enjoy this activity.

Is it complicated to make the cars? Yes Why? Slot Drag Cars a complicated to make because they have strict rules and you have join all the parts together like metal braids have to be connected to the motor and something must be at a certain length and when you finish that you have to paint the car to make it look like it’s a real slot drag car

Do you think this is an activity you would enjoy? I think I would enjoy this  activity because I like cars and watching Transformers but I think I  might have a hard time making the car and putting the stuff together along with painting the car to make it look like a real slot drag car

When I made a loopy person I started off by measuring parts of my body and wrote down how much the measurement was on my maths book and also half of the measurement.

Soon after measuring my body I got strips of paper and measured half of my body parts on the strip of paper then cut out how long half of my body parts were.

Next I coloured the body parts in and stapled the body parts together creating a Loopy person.

Conduction transfers heat or kinetic energy to one molecule to another through a substance and passes through the object.Heat can be transferred from one object to another.So conduction is to spread heat through something

Not all heat conduct through at the same speed or pace.Metal and stone are considered good conductors since it transfers heat very fast and quickly.Paper and cloth are poor conductors since they aren't as fast.(Eg) When you are mixing something hot and burning with a metal spoon the heat will be transferred through the spoon fast but if you use a wooden spoon it won’t transfer as fast as the metal spoon

If another object touches a metal object the energy conducts through the metal to the end.When hot air is locked up in an enclosed space or area the heat conducts around the space and keeps the space warm.If a metal rod is at a higher temperature the energy will conduct down the rod and the faster and quicker the speed is the high energy collides with the slower energy.You might not notice that metal is actually not freezing cold, it is really burning hot. The heat just conducts away from your hand so the heat is blowing away,causing your hand to be  cold.
