Loopy Person

When I made a loopy person I started off by measuring parts of my body and wrote down how much the measurement was on my maths book and also half of the measurement.

Soon after measuring my body I got strips of paper and measured half of my body parts on the strip of paper then cut out how long half of my body parts were.

Next I coloured the body parts in and stapled the body parts together creating a Loopy person.

Conduction transfers heat or kinetic energy to one molecule to another through a substance and passes through the object.Heat can be transferred from one object to another.So conduction is to spread heat through something

Not all heat conduct through at the same speed or pace.Metal and stone are considered good conductors since it transfers heat very fast and quickly.Paper and cloth are poor conductors since they aren't as fast.(Eg) When you are mixing something hot and burning with a metal spoon the heat will be transferred through the spoon fast but if you use a wooden spoon it won’t transfer as fast as the metal spoon

If another object touches a metal object the energy conducts through the metal to the end.When hot air is locked up in an enclosed space or area the heat conducts around the space and keeps the space warm.If a metal rod is at a higher temperature the energy will conduct down the rod and the faster and quicker the speed is the high energy collides with the slower energy.You might not notice that metal is actually not freezing cold, it is really burning hot. The heat just conducts away from your hand so the heat is blowing away,causing your hand to be  cold.

The Matariki Ball

The Matariki Ball

 

On Friday our school had a ball to fund-raise for the year 7 and 8 camp and to celebrate the Maori new year of Matariki so everyone got dressed up into their cool clothes and all met in our school hall with our DJ Larry , but before we started the ball we said a prayer and then started the party with dancing a bit to dancing and singing hard out when the lights were out everyone was comfortable and enjoying the music Larry plays on the DJ it was mean music.

While people were  dancing some people went to buy some food from outside of the hall ,plus I bet people were very hungry for butter chicken because that went out fast.We had lots of delicious food too, along with butter chicken, popcorn ,chop suey rice ,some lolly bags ,sausage rolls brownies and all that other stuff.  

While we were dancing ,some people were looking for a King and Queen for the Juniors and the Seniors and to see who was the best dancer.We didn’t know who was choosing the royal people because they were blended into the crowd so it was kind of a mystery. Anyway people just danced and danced their hardest not caring about what anyone thinks. It was crazy. What was even cooler is that they turned the light off and turned the colourful  lights on which made it look kind of like a disco ball hanging from the hall turning around and round.

Sometimes I got lost in the crowd because there was so many people in the hall. there was like no way out but in the end you'll find the way out.Soon it was almost finished so we said a prayer and they announced our king and queen which was Trent and Angelina for the Junior Royalty people and for the older kids we had Tame’e and Voni.

After that announcement we had one last dance thinking of how fun the night was dancing  to the awesome music or DJ  Larry was playing

It was so crazy and awesome plus it was fun but we had to go home sadly, but man it was cool . By Tauola .M

The Stranded Island

Once upon time there was a cruel person that abandoned a dog on an Stranded Island alone by itself or was it ,the dog started to sniff a scent of a human  so followed the track and came to a cave finding a man that has been  stuck on the island  for  10 years surviving  with fruits and other things found on the Island.

Later in the week they both went out searching for food  to eat then suddenly they came across bamboo sticks and  then an idea popped up  the dog’s head then gets the bamboo stick and pulls them together then the man gets the same idea then they start building a boat using strong vines and  bamboo. They tied the bamboo together using the strong vines.Soon they got tired and both went back to sleep in the cave but before the man went to sleep he said a little prayer   and then finished and said “ Goodnight “ to the dog and the dog replying back “Woof woof”.

The next day they got up early in the morning continuing their boat finding two more long bamboo sticks and strong bark from the tree to make paddles soon they had finished but then they had to find some food to eat on the way, plus the man decided to make a spear using a knife he found in the cave near where was left  to catch some fish on the way but they cooked the fish on the beach using sticks and rocks,  the dog got to make a fire and cook the fish. Soon the went to sleep and decided to go the next day in the morning.

In the morning they woke up and  took off by pushing the boat in the water the jumping on fast with the little dog in the man’s arms holding the dog close to his side while he paddles the right way.

Now they were on there way back to where they use to live well back to their home but took time like for a week they were at sea until suddenly they heard a like a noise that got louder and louder so they were looking everywhere but nothing then they looked up saw a helicopter so the dog started barking  and the man started waving his hands and yelling out “HELP” then the man pulled out the  knife he found in the cave and reflected the sunlight onto the helicopter man then the helicopter flew down and the helicopter man said in the speaker and it’s ok I can see now put the dog in the carrier things and pull the dog up while the man climbs on the ladder and then they were both safe in the helicopter then back to civilisation in the neighborhood in Kingsland.

Later on there lives were back to normal but the dog lived with the man that helped him and the man named the dog brave for being a brave dog that helped him. Then life went on while they were safe at home

Genius made a tomato sauce machine that would squirt tomato on a mouse with just a press of a button

The Mum said that because she thought  that Genius would do something for her that would make her proud of him and it happened plus When Fat Cat was little she was fat

but as she got older she got skinny until Genius made a tomato sauce machine that squirted tomato sauce on mice neatly which made Fat Cat eat it and get fat again
