  • TheWeka are omnivores and feed on invertebrates
           and fruit
  • Wekas are sturdy birds

  • The Moa is a huge giant but flightless bird
  • There are 11 different types of moa species
  • Moas began to become extinct when people  discovered
            and colonised NZ in the 13th Century
  • People started hunting for their eggs in the 13th century
